Self-Employed CPP Calculator

Estimate the Canada Pension Plan contributions you owe on self-employment income, including the base and enhanced portions.

Estimate your CPP as a self-employed person

How this is estimated: CPP1 is 11.9% of net self-employment income above the $3,500 basic exemption, capped at the YMPE; CPP2 is 8% of income between the YMPE and the YAMPE. Defaults are 2025 figures — confirm the current year on canada.ca. This ignores the proration of the basic exemption when you also have employment income or more than one self-employment business, and it does not calculate the deductible versus credit portions of the contribution.
